Thursday, June 3, 2010 - Ready for the Summer!!!!
The Spring Revival Trail has quickly come to an end. We have been overjoyed by God's blessings too. From January to May, we have traveled from Indiana to Alabama, Florida, and Georgia with a trip to New Mexico thrown in as well; then back north to Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin; then back south to Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida! What a trip it has been.
We were overjoyed to see souls saved in every campaign, with only one exception. Brother Corn was especially used of God in seeing souls saved. He seems to have a knack at witnessing to people at restaurants and leading them to Christ! He also was able to lead many boys and girls to Christ during the Children's Revival Adventure! We had many souls saved in the main revival services too. A good number of adults and teens came to Christ and in several meetings we were thrilled to see husbands and wives trusting Christ together. Seeing souls saved and added to the local churches is certainly one of the highlights of what God has called us to do.
It was also a great blessing to see God move in some definite and mighty ways in reviving His church. We were thrilled at how so many believers made definite commitments to Christ about their home and family. Several have testified that their home is completely changed as they have not only made definite changes in areas of entertainment, family devotions, etc., but also have begun walking in the Spirit in the way they treat each other inside the home. We did a lot of preaching on how to have God's fulness in our daily lives and many believers responded to that as well. Others made commitments about walking with God in prayer and through the Scriptures. Seeing homes restored to Biblical standards, lives transformed as believers responded to God's conviction, and the joy in so many lives as people have begun walking in the power of the Spirit is another highlight in what God has called us to do.
Please keep on praying for our ministry. As we head into the summer, the Youngs are packing for a Dennis Family vacation (Bethlie's family) to Michigan followed by a whirlwind trip to the West. We will be ministering in Marshalltown, Iowa at Fellowship Baptist Church; in a FAMILY MATTERS CONFERENCE in Fresno, California at Ambassador Baptist Church; in Youth Camps in Taft, California and in Newberry Springs, California; and at Maranatha Baptist Church in Peoria, Arizona and at another Youth Camp in Eager, Arizona! From Arizona we will travel back home to Ohio in preparation for flying to our revival campaign in Fort Yukon, Alaska. Brother Corn will be heading to Vacation Bible Schools and Summer Youth Outreaches. He will begin with two meetings in Alabama, one in Florida, one in Ohio, another in Texas, and yet another back in Florida. From Florida he will fly to Fort Yukon, Alaska as well. What a summer it is going to be.
