Tuesday, January 8, 2008 - End of the Year 2007
“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass” (Psa. 37:5). I have thought of these words more than once as I have reflected on 2007. This year we saw more souls saved than in any other year. We had some of our greatest revival campaigns. Our Families Matter Conferences helped spark revival in many homes. In Moldova, 350 souls were saved during our two weeks of evangelistic services. We also finally finished a revival team CD. It was, without a doubt, a glorious year.
t the same time, it was also a year of surprising twists and turns. His promise is that “all things work together for good to them that love God” (Rom. 8:28) and in a variety of ways we have had to rest on that promise. In March, our baby boy (Moriah, or Morrie) was taken home to heaven. He was born March 28 and is now in the presence of our Savior. Although the promises of Scripture are always true, our hearts still ache from time to time. In late Fall, we received yet another surprise. Jason and Kimberly resigned from the team in order to have some time to seek God’s direction for their family. After six and a half wonderfully blessed years together, it seems impossible that God could actually be calling them to another ministry. They have served with us very faithfully. We have seen God’s hand of blessing in so many ways that we could not begin to write them all down. He has certainly been good to us. We hired employees, but were blessed with friends. Together, our team has already lived a lifetime of blessings. Thank you for all you have done in supporting and loving us. We could not have done it without friends like you.
So, as 2007 comes to an end, we will remember, not only the incredible opportunities given to us by God, but also the surprising challenges and changes He has placed into our lives and ministries. And as 2008 dawns upon the horizon, we are still focused on the salvation of souls, revival in our homes and churches, and in the great privilege we have to serve Christ. He alone is worthy.
We would love to hear from you. We need your prayers as we embark on a brand new year ahead.
Sincerely yours: Evangelist Dave Young
Sincerely,
The David Young Revival Team
