Dear friends:
2008 has been a grand year so far. We have had some incredible revival campaigns in these first few weeks and are so very grateful for the power of the Word of God and for the reviving presence of the Holy Spirit in our meetings. We kicked off the year by driving to Pensacola, Florida and then flying to Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin to speak at Baptist College of Ministry's Spiritual Awakening Conference. The Conference was bathed in prayer and it was evident from the very first service that God was meeting with us. He moved very definitely in the hearts of the student body, faculty, and church family. It was a blessing to make many new friends and to see the incredible work God is doing at Baptist College of Ministry. I heartily recommend the college to young people who desire to serve the Lord in full-time Christian work. From Menomonee I flew back to Pensacola and began a campaign at Pine Forest Estates Baptist Church. That too was a very good meeting. Pastor Mike Davis is an old friend and we enjoyed working with him, his staff, and his church family to seek the Lord for revival. From Pensacola, we headed to Atmore, Alabama for a few days and conducted another revival campaign at the Atmore Baptist Temple. The church has some of the finest country folks you could ever meet anywhere, and they not only made us feel right at home, they also opened their hearts to the Lord's working in their church, their own hearts, and even their homes. That was a blessed few days as well.
Last week we were in Ocala, Florida at Central Baptist Church. We had 23 different preaching and teaching services (chapels, revival services, Sunday Schools, and a lady's meeting). and each one was blessed indeed. We did not have a final count, but believe that 15-20 souls professed faith in Christ. We had great crowds, souls saved, and believers evidencing genuine revival in their hearts, homes, and habits! God was sure good to us in that meeting.
We are now in Margate, Florida and are in a 6 day campaign at Faith Baptist Church. Three were saved in the first services and we anticipate greater services in the next few days.
It has been "different" traveling without our revival team. We miss Brother Jason and Miss Kimberly, but God has met every need. It has been good to have Evangelist Brent Gellos with us to take care of some of the music, help with some of the services, and conduct the Children's Revival Hour. He is doing a grand job and God has used him to see many saved already. We are thrilled to be in the Lord's work! Keep on praying for us . . .
Sincerely,
The David Young Revival Team
