Friday, November 21, 2008 - November 2008
Thanksgiving is just around the corner and, for us, that always means getting to go home for awhile. This year is different in the sense that we have an extra opportunity to be thankful. Charity Noel was born November 5 and weighed in at 7 pounds 2 ounces and was about 19 inches long. She is absolutely beautiful and that is no exaggeration on my part either. You can check her out in our Gallery of Photos and see for yourself that I am telling the absolute truth. We are thankful for her and for each of you who prayed us through this pregnancy. Bethlie is doing better. We are still monitoring her Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and it appears that her Cyatic Nerve difficulties are diminishing now that Charity has arrived. We are so grateful for how the Lord has taken care of everything in this pregnancy.
We are also thankful for the great meetings we enjoyed in August, September, and October. We were privileged to preach revivals in Hartselle, Alabama; Beaver, West Virginia; Hagerstown, Maryland; Cleveland, Ohio; Marshalltown, Iowa; Macon, Georgia; and Thomasville, Georgia. It was our first time to be at the churches in Hartselle, Hagerstown, and Macon! It was a blessing to be a part of these great churches. Each is growing and we were delighted to have a part in seeing souls saved, the church revived, believers stirred to Godly living, and homes and families strengthened. Returning to Beaver, Cleveland, Marshalltown, and Thomasville was also a blessing. The churches are growing and we were honored that they would allow us to have a part in helping them as they seek to reach their communities for Christ.
One of the highlight meetings was our eight day crusade in Marshalltown. It is more difficult to conduct a Sunday through Sunday campaign but this church worked very hard, prayed earnestly, and saw God move in a very definite and powerful way. The crowds were great and grew throughout the entire week. Specific souls were saved, including a dad, a sister, a mom, and several other family members and friends. Brent and Kaity worked to see boys and girls saved during the Children's Revival Hour and God blessed their efforts mightily too. We really should try to do more of these kind of campaigns.
Speaking of Brent And Kaity, they are making the move into full-time evangelism themselves. They have been blessed to purchase a truck and trailer and are beginning to see the Lord open doors for them. Brent is a fine young man and has been a great blessing to our ministry as he traveled with me throughout this year. His marriage to Kaity a few months ago was one of his greatest decisions ever! She is a gem of a young lady. I know that God is going to use them in a great way and I hope you will remember to pray for them too.
Because of the birth of our baby, I am home all of November and December. I had to cancel three meetings and the two I did not cancel ended up canceling on me. Apparently God wanted me to stay home these two months. So pray for us, will you? Although I am not preaching any meetings, I do have much work to be done. I am trying to finish another degree and am working on my final class. I have to complete all of our end of the year "stuff" including our newsletter, our 2009 itinerary, our end of the year reports, and other such stuff. Being home two months is a rarity for us, so pray that we will not only be able to get some rest and relaxation, but that we will also accomplish much too! As always, we are grateful for your prayers and for your support. You are a blessing to us and our ministry.
Sincerely,
The David Young Revival Team
