Monday, July 26, 2010 - What a great summer!
The summer of 2010 has been one of our busiest and most blessed summers ever. We have traveled well over 15,000 miles and have been privileged to preach in several camps as well as several churches! I wish you could have joined us.
For us, the summer officially began on a Sunday morning in Marshalltown, Iowa where I was privileged to preach for our good friends at Fellowship Baptist Church. The church is growing and seeing God's continued blessings and we were thrilled by our Sunday with them! From Marshalltown, we drove to Denver and spent several days with church planter Tate Throndson. It was a blessing to see them too. The week ended with us spending several hours with Liberty Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada where we enjoyed attending part of their annual Missions Conference. What a blessing it was to be a part of such an exciting event.
We then drove to Fresno, California to spend a weekend with Pastor Josh Irmler and Ambassador Baptist Church for a Family Matters Conference. The Lord gave us some very good services and we were thrilled to help Pastor Irmler strengthen and revive the homes of his church. God is doing a great work not only in this young pastor's own life and home, but especially in the ministry in Fresno!
God also allowed me to preach in three different youth camps. The first one was Camp Calvary California in the mountains north of Los Angeles. They hosted over 240 teens and juniors for their first ever youth camp! Souls were saved and at least nine young men dedicated themselves to preach the Gospel. Many, many other teens made life changing decisions as well. Camp Calvary is going to be a great camp! We were also thrilled to be a part of Ironwood Christian Camp, located smack dab in the middle of the dessert between Los Angelos and Las Vegas. The Lord has certainly blessed Ironwood and He also blessed us as we ministered there! Fourteen souls were saved in the teen program and many other teens dedicated their lives to serve Jesus Christ. We fell in love with the wonderful staff who serve the Lord in this camp. Our next camp was in the beautiful eastern mountains of Arizona where Grand View Camp is being built. They are currently renting a camp facility in Alpine, Arizona. Here again, the Lord blessed in each service. Souls were saved, teens confessed sins, and many dedicated their lives to Jesus Christ. What a privilege it was to serve in each of these camps.
Brother Corn and I just returned from Fort Yukon, Alaska where we served with Arctic Circle Baptist Church. Brother David conducted a wonderful Vacation Bible School program and at least 18 souls were saved! He and I also conducted evening revival services and the Lord met with us in special way there too. What a privilege it is for us to serve the Lord. He has been very good to us this summer and we are grateful for each of you who prays for us and who supports us too! Thank you for your partnership with us.
